Comprehensive Care

Our inspiration and motivation comes from seeing people living with diabetes (or whichever complex medical condition they may have), achieve all their life aspirations confidently and without restriction.

We aim to provide person-centered comprehensive care and a team-based approach where everyone is seen as unique with their own needs and supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals who will work collaboratively with you, your GP and care network to help you achieve your goals.

The Living Diabetes & Endocrinology team is committed to providing you with an experience that is warm, welcoming, safe and easy to work with where everyone, from our friendly and efficient reception and admin team to all of our medical specialists and allied health professionals who are committed to the following Patient Charter.

Patient Charter

Living with diabetes or many other endocrine conditions means you are likely to need a life-long journey of care. Our goal is to empower and support you to take control of your health and wellbeing, to enable you to fully live your life.

We extend our hand to you with the Living Diabetes & Endocrinology Patient Charter:

  • We promise to treat you with the utmost respect and dignity. Our team is committed to listening to and understanding your needs, ensuring you feel heard and valued at every visit.

  • You are unique, and we see that. Here, you are never just another patient or a set of numbers. You will receive high-quality care that is tailored specifically to you. We encourage you to communicate with us openly and respectfully, and our team is trained to offer empathetic, unbiased care.

  • Managing diabetes and related conditions is a collaborative effort. All Living Diabetes & Endocrinology’s healthcare professionals will work with you to provide comprehensive care, respecting your opinions and preferences as crucial components of your treatment plan. Your wellbeing will be enhanced through cooperation, taking on board the advice of our healthcare team and giving us timely feedback.

  • Our goal is to equip you with the understanding and tools you need for confident self-management. Expect clear, practical advice and guidance from us. We may also challenge you and your behaviours to help you gain control of your life and achieve optimal wellbeing.

First Time &
Follow-Up Visits:

If you are visiting us for the first time, we would appreciate it if you could please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment in order to assist with registering you into our system.

Our Fees

Doctor consultation fees are not covered by private health funds however, if you have a valid referral Medicare rebates can be claimed on the day for your convenience.

Allied health consultations may qualify for a Medicare rebate if you have a GP healthcare plan that includes the required allied health professional. If you only have a referral to our Allied Health professionals a Medicare rebate cannot be claimed.

At Living Diabetes & Endocrinology, we pride ourselves on providing specialist care from our expert team. Please be aware of the following:

  • Our fees represent the high-quality service and unique expertise we offer.

  • As a private practice, we do not offer bulk billing.

  • We will advise you of the fees when confirming your appointment.

  • Full payment is required on the day of your consultation. We accept debit and credit cards (Mastercard and Visa only) but not cash.

  • Endocrinologist’s consultation fees are not covered by private health funds. Allied Health Care fees may be covered depending on your cover.

  • If your GP has given you a healthcare plan, Medicare will rebate only a portion of the consultation fee.

  • If you are running late, please let us know – we understand that things can come up.

  • To avoid a non-attendance fee, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make it.

Our Location & Parking

Located in the tranquil The Garden Office Park in Osborne Park, on the Ground Floor of Building A, which fronts onto Scarborough Beach Road.

The Garden Office Park is located across the road from the Barbagallo car dealership near the corner of Scarborough Beach Road and Frobisher Road, with easy access off the Mitchell Freeway and a short walk from Glendalough Train Station.

2 hours free undercover parking is available at the onsite Wilson car park, entry from Scarborough Beach Road.

Next Steps

If your GP has referred you to one of our specialist endocrinologists at Living Diabetes & Endocrinology and sent us a referral letter, then we will contact you within 2 working days of receipt of your referral. If you haven’t heard from us within this time, please contact us.

Allied Health Professionals

If you wish to visit our Allied health professionals (not our specialist endocrinologists) you do not need a referral or Medicare Healthcare Plan, please contact us to make an appointment. However, if your GP has given you a Medicare Healthcare Plan then a portion of the fees will be reimbursed by Medicare. See Our Fees.
